Kang Ta Will Hold Fan Meeting in Asia
Hallyu star Kang Ta, who is set to be discharged from the military next month, will hold fan meetings in several Asian countries starting mid-February.
According to his agency SM Entertainment, the singer who enlisted in 2008 will have completed his mandatory military service on February 19 and kick off the fan events the next day starting in Seoul.
The fan meeting will continue on into China and Japan, focusing on the theme ‘past, present, and future’ to remind fans of his previous activities, his current state and future plans.
Kang Ta, whose real name is Ahn Chil-hyun, first made his debut into the music industry in 1996 with the now-disbanded boy band H.O.T. The five-member group was one of the most popular acts in Korea and throughout Asia during the late 1990s to early 2000s.
Kang Ta continued his singing career by going solo in 2001, releasing solo albums in several countries in Asia. He has sang alongside Taiwanese singer Vanessa Wu and Zhang Li-yin.
